U.S. Remodeling Confidence Optimistic Entering Q3

In the second quarter of 2026, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)/Westlake Royal Remodeling Index (RMI) reported U.S. remodeling confidence at 61, dipping one point from Q1 but remaining in the 60s for the fourth straight quarter. The Current Conditions Index held steady at 70 in Q2, while the Future Indicators Index fell two points to 52 compared to the previous quarter.

The Remodeling Market Index (RMI) is based on a quarterly survey of NAHB remodeler members, providing insight into current market conditions and future indicators for the remodeling market. A score over 50 indicates that remodelers report market activity higher than in the previous quarter. See NAHB
