Connect with the Composite Panel Industry
CPA is the largest and most important association in the composite panel industry. Membership is open to any firm with a direct business relationship with the North American composite panel industry and whose membership would not jeopardize the viability of the Composite Panel Association’s programs. There are three member categories: General, Associate, and Academia. The category requirements and respective applications are provided below. The CPA Board of Directors approves all applicants.
If you are interested in membership or have additional questions, please contact Jeannie Ervin at (703) 724-1128 Ext. 248.
CPA General Membership is open to active North American producers of particleboard, medium density fiberboard (MDF), hardboard, or other compatible products as defined by the CPA Bylaws. Each CPA General Member company is entitled to designate one primary and one alternate representative to the CPA Board of Directors. General Members pay annual base dues plus monthly shipments-based dues.
CPA Associate Membership is open to any firm, corporation, or other business enterprise with a direct and substantial business relationship with the North American composite panel industry that does not qualify for CPA General membership. Examples of Associate Member companies include distributors, decorative surface companies (manufacturers, suppliers, printers, etc.), panel processing companies (equipment, machinery, and supplies), etc. Associate Membership dues are based on the annual gross sales of the entire legal business entity, not industry segment sales. Dues are paid annually on the calendar year in categories ranging from $2,000 to $5,500.
CPA Academia Membership is open to accredited North American colleges or universities with wood science and/or other industry-related departments. One professor or department head would be designated as the primary contact, and additional faculty could be added to the mailing list. Academia Members shall have the rights and privileges of Associate Members, except access to Association statistical data and eligibility to serve on the Executive Committee or Board of Directors of the Association. Dues are paid annually on the calendar year of $100.
