CPA is the largest and most important association in the composite panel industry. Membership is open to any firm with a direct business relationship with the North American composite panel industry and whose membership would not jeopardize the viability of the Composite Panel Association’s programs. There are three member categories: General, Associate, and Academia. The category requirements and respective applications are provided below. The CPA Board of Directors reviews and approves applicants.

Industry Promotion
CPA promotes the industry through numerous marketing initiatives including social media campaigns, trade shows, the annual print and digital Design Portfolio, and the web-based member company Product Finder.

Two annual members only meetings provide unparalleled networking with industry customers and suppliers while attending valuable business educational sessions.
Industry Resources & Reports
CPA provides technical bulletins and standards offering in-depth information on composite panel products as well as member exclusive industry performance reports specific to North American shipments and downstream markets.
Advocacy
CPA is the chief advocate and steward of the North American industry on federal, state, and provincial regulatory and legislative matters, particularly those with environmental implications.

BECOME A MEMBER
Producers
General Membership
Annual base dues + monthly shipment-based dues
Open to active North American producers of particleboard, medium density fiberboard (MDF), hardboard, or other compatible products as defined by CPA Bylaws. General members designate representatives to the Board.
Affiliated with the Industry
Associate Membership
$2,500 – $5,500 annual dues, based on gross sales of the entire legal business entity.
CPA Associate Membership is open to any firm, corporation, or other business enterprise with a direct and substantial business relationship with the North American composite panel industry that does not qualify for CPA General membership, including, but not limited to, decorative surface companies (manufacturers, suppliers, printers, etc.) and panel processing companies (equipment, machinery, and supplies).
Higher Education
Academia Membership
$100 annual fee
Open to accredited North American colleges and universities with wood science or other industry-related departments. Academia Members have the rights and privileges of Associate Members, except access to Association statistical data and eligibility to serve on the Executive Committee or Board of Directors of the Association.
