With decades of experience, CPA offers the largest and most stringent testing and certification program for North American composite panel products. We offer a full range of services from plant inspections, independent product selection and testing, to full certification to ensure your products' compliance.
CPA's International Testing Center (ITC) is accredited through the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) while our auditing (inspection) programs are through ANAB. Our certification programs are accredited through the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
The ITC is an independent formaldehyde testing laboratory designed to help panel manufacturing companies comply with the strict CARB Phase 2 formaldehyde emissions requirements which have now been adopted by the U.S. EPA. The ITC’s reputation for accuracy has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), major building codes, the California Air Resources Board (registered as the world’s first Third Party Certifier for formaldehyde testing and certification), and a host of wood manufacturing industries.
The ITC is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 as a certified testing laboratory by the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB). The ITC is a 5,500 square foot state-of-the-art facility engineered with tomorrow’s ultra-low emitting products in mind. We are the trusted, worldwide leader for reliable formaldehyde analysis.

CPA Grademark Certification Program
CPA offers several certification programs (i.e. formaldehyde emissions [HCHO]; physical and mechanical properties [PMP]; engineered wood siding and trim [EWST]; an Eco-Certified Composites [ECC]) for panel producers. The CPA Grademark Certification Program place a premium on in-plant quality control programs validating personnel, laboratory techniques, and recordkeeping. Each program has a quality control manual that contains the procedures to meet the requirements of the regulation (e.g. CARB ATCM 93120) or standards (e.g. ANSI A208.1 Particleboard, A135.6 Engineered Wood Siding, A135.7 Engineered Wood Trim and CPA 4-11 ECC Sustainability Standard).
