CPA is pleased to share industry-wide environmental product declarations (EPDs) and accompanying life cycle assessment (LCA) reports for particleboard and medium density fiberboard (MDF) manufactured in the U.S. and Canada.
The EPDs were developed by the Consortium for Research on Renewable Industrial Materials (CORRIM), are verified by ASTM International, and conform to ISO 21930:2017. They have worldwide applicability and include information about product environmental impacts. These include the use of resources, global warming potential, emissions to air, soil and water, and waste generation.
These composite panel EPDs contain cradle-to-grave data for “end-of-life.” End-of-life information represents the collection, recovery, deconstruction, disposal method, and associated transportation LCI data for each activity.
