Surteco Group SE, Buttenweisen Germany, recently announced changes to its North American leadership structure following the recent acquisition of Omnova Solutions Inc.
Mike Phillips will retire as CEO of Surteco North America at the end of 2023 after more than 35 years with the company. He will remain on the company’s Board and be an advisor to the Chairman. Mike has been an invaluable CPA member participating on the Marketing Committee, Decorative Surfaces Council, several task groups and Strategic Plan working groups. He will complete his term on CPA’s Board of Directors through December 2024.
Terry Hemmelgarn has been named the new CEO of the North America division, effective January 1, 2024. Terry joined the organization post-acquisition as CEO of Omnova and played a key role in integrating the two companies. Terry previously was Vice President and General Manager of Global Laminates and Films at Omnova for 10 years. See Surteco
