CPA is pleased to announce the revised ANSI A208.2-2022 Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) Standard for Interior Applications is now available.  This latest version supersedes the 2016 standard and includes the addition of the U.S. EPA TSCA Title VI formaldehyde regulation as a requirement, updated ASTM standards, corrected referenced footnotes in ASTM D1037, as well as minor editorial corrections and improvements.

CPA is the Standard Development Organization (SDO) managing consensus for this standard by use of a canvass body representing a balance of producers, users, and general interest groups in accordance with the American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) Essential Requirements for Due Process. Final approval of the standard was granted by ANSI’s Board of Standards Review on April 14, 2022. CPA will share this updated standard with regulatory bodies and other related organizations.  CPA Grademark representatives will work with client mills to ensure a timely transition to this updated standard which is now available for download on the CPA website at no charge for members.
