2022 Board of Directors Officers




The Composite Panel Association (CPA) is a member-driven organization. Member companies and their employees are encouraged to fully participate in committees and to take advantage of CPA’s numerous member benefits.
CPA Standing Committees
Members are invited to participate in one or all of CPA’s standing committees listed below. One company representative is able to vote per committee; however multiple reps can participate in subcommittee activities.
Marketing Committee
The Marketing Committee oversees and directs CPA’s internal and external communications, web sites, trade show participation and statistical reporting. Key messages about the industry and its products are communicated through various programs and publications that increase the use and acceptance of composite panel and decorative surfacing products in the marketplace. The majority of these activities are oriented to downstream users, customers and specifiers of member products. Subcommittees include Education, Communications and Industry Economic Performance. The Vice President of Marketing serves as the staff liaison for this committee.

Decorative Surfaces Council
The mission of the DSC is an advisory body to the CPA Marketing Committee to ensure that the interests of decorative surfaces are represented. The DSC is an inclusionary group, allowing all members with an interest in decorative surfaces to join the Council. The Vice President of Marketing serves as the staff liaison for the Council.

Production-Technical Committee
The Production and Technical Committee is responsible for technical and plant management issues and is comprised of technical directors, plant managers and other personnel with plant management interests. This committee oversees the Association’s certification program manuals, worker safety issues, workplace environmental issues, funding for industry technical research, building code issues, product testing standards and technical bulletins. Subcommittees include Codes and Standards, Hardboard, Research and Projects, Safety and Grademark. The Vice President of Product Acceptance and Director of Technical and Certification Services serve as staff liaisons for this committee.

Environmental and Public Affairs Committee
EPAC is responsible for the effective management of critical regulatory and legislative issues affecting the industry. Subcommittees include Canadian Federal/Provincial, Stewardship, US Federal/State and the Industry Biomass Council. The President of CPA serves as the staff liaison for this committee.

Robert E. Dougherty Education Foundation
CPA members are also Foundation members. The foundation Board of Directors, under the direction of the CPA Board of Directors, is responsible for management of a scholarship program and related activities providing financial assistance to students pursuing a career in forestry, wood products and affiliated industries. Members are encouraged to support the foundation reflecting a strong commitment to the future of this industry by nominating eligible students for scholarships and making individual and corporate contributions.
