Annual Increase Seen in Canadian Construction Investment

March Canadian building construction investment declined 0.9% from February but increased 5.4% year-over-year to $22.2 billion (CAD). Residential construction spending decreased 1.8% to $15.3 billion in March. Seasonally adjusted single-family investment was 0.5% higher than February at $7.3 billion, while multi-unit levels fell 3.8% to $8.0 billion in March.
