On March 15, the U.S. Department of Agricultural (USDA) requested input from foresters, farmers, and the public on how the Biden Administration should promote climate-smart forestry and agriculture. The solicitation is in response to President Biden’s January 27 Executive Order on Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad. The notice seeks information on four topics, including the following which is relevant to composite panel manufacturers:
“How should USDA utilize programs, funding and financing capacities, and other authorities to encourage greater use of biofuels for transportation, sustainable bioproducts (including wood products), and renewable energy?”
The public comment period is open through April 3. CPA will prepare comments that highlight the sustainable benefits of composite panel industry products. See USDA and Biden Executive Order
