Seasonally adjusted shipments for all U.S. manufacturing industries in August were $607.7 billion, 0.1% lower than July. Wood product shipments rose 0.4% in August to $13.7 billion, while furniture and related products shipments were unchanged from July at $7.5 billion.
New orders for all U.S. manufacturing were $612.0 billion in August, increasing 1.4% from the prior month. Furniture and related product orders totaled $7.6 billion, up 0.1% from July. See U.S. Census Bureau
