U.S. Single-Family Home Size Decreases

The 2022 U.S. Census Quarterly Starts and Completions by Purpose and Design report showed that the median square footage of new single-family homes in the fourth quarter dropped to 2,472 square feet compared to 2,561 from the same period in 2021.
