U.S. Remodeling Confidence Up in Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)/Westlake Royal Remodeling Index (RMI) reported U.S. remodeling confidence at 68, improving five points from Q3 and one point from the same period in 2023. The current market conditions indicator rose three points from the previous quarter to 75 and was one point higher than the previous year. The future indicators’ index increased six points to 61 over the third quarter and increased one point from Q4 2023.

The Remodeling Market Index (RMI) is based on a quarterly survey of NAHB remodeler members, providing insight into current market conditions and future indicators for the remodeling market. A score over 50 indicates remodelers report market activity higher than in the previous quarter. See NAHB
