U.S. sales of new single-family homes in December 2025 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 745,000, decreasing 1.7% from November but up 3.8% from the comparable month in 2024.
The seasonally adjusted estimate of new homes for sale in December was 472,000, indicating a 7.6-month supply at the existing sales rate. This is 2.7% lower than November and 3.5% below December 2024.
