Seasonally adjusted shipments for all U.S. manufacturing industries in December 2023 were nearly even with November’s at $581.0 billion. Wood product shipments dipped 0.3% in December to $13.3 billion compared to the prior month. Shipments of furniture and related products were mainly unchanged from November at $6.8 billion.
New orders for all U.S. manufacturing rose 0.2% from November to $594.3 billion in December. Furniture and related product orders were $6.9 billion, marking no change from November. See U.S. Census Bureau
