Seasonally adjusted shipments for all U.S. manufacturing industries declined 1.4% from September to $577.8 billion in October. Wood product shipments were down 0.2% in October to $13.3 billion compared to the prior month. Shipments of furniture and related products dipped 0.6% from September to $6.7 billion.
New orders for all U.S. manufacturing decreased 3.6% from September to $576.8 billion in October. Furniture and related product orders were 1.0% higher at $6.7 billion. See U.S. Census Bureau
