U.S. Manufacturing Shipments Increase in May

Seasonally adjusted May shipments for all U.S. manufacturing industries grew 1.6% from April to $543.4 billion. Wood product shipments dipped  0.2% in May to $13.1 billion compared to the prior month. Shipments of furniture and related products rose 1.4% from April to $6.2 billion.

New orders for all U.S. manufacturing increased 1.6% from April to $543.4 billion.  Furniture and related product orders in May were up 0.9% from the previous month to $6.14 billion.  See U.S. Census Bureau
