Seasonally adjusted shipments for all U.S. manufacturing industries in January were $592.1 billion, up 0.4% from December 2024. Wood product shipments decreased 0.9% to $13.1 billion, while shipments of furniture and related products grew 1.6% to $6.9 billion from the previous month.
New orders for all U.S. manufacturing were $589.9 billion in January, 1.7% higher than the prior month. Furniture and related product orders totaled $6.7 billion, a 0.1% increase from December. See U.S. Census Bureau
