Seasonally adjusted shipments for all U.S. manufacturing industries in January were $572.3 billion, declining 1.0% from December 2023. Wood product shipments grew 1.0% in January to $13.4 billion compared to the prior month. Shipments of furniture and related products increased 1.4% from December to $6.8 billion.
New orders for all U.S. manufacturing were down 3.6% from December 2023 to $569.7 billion in January. Furniture and related product orders were $6.7 billion, decreasing 2.2% from December 2023. See U.S. Census Bureau
