U.S. Issues Final Scope Ruling on Cabinet and Vanity Imports from Malaysia and Vietnam

The U.S. Department of Commerce ruled this week that certain imports of wooden cabinets, vanities, and components originating from China that are completed in Malaysia or Vietnam are covered by the scope of the existing antidumping duty (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) orders. The original petition was made by the American Kitchen Cabinet Alliance and the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) in 2019, and the Commerce Department ruled to impose AD/CVD duties on certain imports of wooden cabinets and vanities from China in 2020.
