Interior design billings from the American Society of Interior Design (ASID) member-owned firms rose 3.4 points in June, bringing the Interior Design Billings Index (IDBI) score to 62.4. Any score over 50 indicates growth. The 3-month average of billings grew 1 point to its highest level in history to 63.2. The south led the 3-month average amongst geographic regions at 69.3, with all regions registering above 60.
The June index measuring inquiries fell 2.4 points to 64.3, and the six-month outlook score dropped 2.5 points from May to 65.5. Of the survey respondents, 43% reported better business performance than expected for the first half of 2021. See ASID
