U.S. Housing Starts Up in November

U.S. housing starts in November were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.55 million, up 1.2% from the revised October estimate and 12.8% higher than the comparable month last year. Single-family housing starts increased 0.4% from October to 1.19 million.

U.S. building permits in November were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.64 million, growing 6.2% from October and rising 8.5% from the same month in 2019. Single-family authorizations grew 1.3% from October to 1.14 million. See U.S. Census Bureau
