U.S. housing starts in November were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.56 million, improving 14.8% from October and 9.3% higher than the comparable month last year. Single-family starts increased 18.0% to 1.14 million over October.
U.S. building permits were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.46 million, dipping 2.5% from October but rising 4.1% from November 2022. Single-family authorizations were up 0.7% from October to 976,000. See U.S. Census Bureau
