U.S. Home Sales Up in September

U.S. sales of new single-family homes in September were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 800,000, up 14% from August but down 17.6% from the comparable month last year.

The seasonally adjusted estimate of new homes for sale at the end of September was 379,000, representing a 5.7-month supply at the current sales rate. See U.S. Census Bureau
