U.S. Home Sales Jump from September 2019

U.S. sales of new single-family homes in September were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 959,000, decreasing 3.5% from August but were 32.1% higher than the comparable month last year.

The seasonally adjusted estimate of new homes for sale at the end of August was 284,000, representing a 3.6-month supply at the current sales rate. See U.S. Census Bureau
