U.S. sales of new single-family homes in January were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 801,000, down 4.5% from December 2021 and decreased 19.3% from the comparable month last year.
The seasonally adjusted estimate of new homes for sale at the end of January was 406,000, representing a 6.1-month supply at the current sales rate. See U.S. Census Bureau
