U.S. Home Sales Down in April

U.S. sales of new single-family homes in April were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 634,000, decreasing 4.7% from March and 7.7% lower than the comparable month in 2023.

The seasonally adjusted estimate of new homes for sale through April was 480,000, indicating a 9.1-month supply at the current sales rate. See U.S. Census Bureau
