U.S. Furniture Shipments and New Orders Up in March

Seasonally adjusted shipments for all U.S. manufacturing industries in March were $583.3 billion, improving 0.3% from February. Wood product shipments increased 0.6% in March to $13.4 billion compared to the prior month. Shipments of furniture and related products rose 0.4% from February to $6.8 billion.

New orders for all U.S. manufacturing were up 1.6% from February to $584.5 billion in March. Furniture and related product orders were $6.9 billion, growing 1.2% from February. See U.S. Census Bureau
