U.S. residential furniture factory orders in June rose 30% from the comparable month in 2019, according to a recent survey of manufacturers and distributors. Year-to-date orders were 16% lower than the same period last year. Of those surveyed, 73% reported higher orders than June 2019.
Shipments rose 44.2% over May but decreased 7.5% from June 2019. For the first six months, shipments were down 21.4% compared to 2019. See Smith Leonard
