U.S. residential furniture factory orders in January decreased 25.5% from the comparable month in 2022 but increased 5.1% from December 2022.
Furniture shipments dipped 3.5% from January 2022 and 3% from December. With shipments continuing to outpace new orders, January backlogs declined 60.5% from 2022 and 7% from December. See Smith Leonard
