U.S. residential furniture factory orders in March were $2.2 billion, down 14.5% from March 2022 but a 9.3% improvement from February.
Furniture shipments dipped 16.5% from March 2022 to $2.9 billion but climbed 18.6% from February. With shipments continuing to outpace new orders, March backlogs were $3.2 billion, declining 63.5% from last year and 6.0% from February. See Smith Leonard
