U.S. residential furniture factory orders in April fell 7% from March and 9% from the same month last year. Year-to-date orders dropped 4% compared to the same period in 2024.
Furniture shipments declined 4% from March and 2% from April 2024 but remained unchanged year-to-date. Backlogs decreased 2% from the prior month and were 10% lower than April 2024. See Smith Leonard
