Third quarter 2023 U.S. wood product manufacturing sales decreased 1.0% from Q2 to $29.5 billion and fell 18.2% from the same period in 2022. After-tax profits declined 1.5% to $2.8 billion from the prior three months and were 28.1% lower than Q3 2022.
Furniture sales were down 1.4% from Q2 to $19.3 billion and 5.2% from Q3 2022. After-tax profits in Q3 rose 13.2% from the second quarter to $1.5 billion and grew 17.4% from the same quarter in 2022. See U.S. Census Bureau
