U.S. Consumer Confidence Recovers in October

U.S. consumer confidence registered at 108.7 in October, up 9.5 points from the adjusted September reading, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index. The index measuring current business and labor market conditions rose 14.2 points to 138.0 in October. The short-term outlook index for the income, business, and labor markets grew 6.3 points from September to 89.1.
