U.S. Construction Down in February

U.S. construction spending in February was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.52 trillion, down 0.8% from January but up 5.3% from the year prior.  Private construction spending decreased 0.5% from January to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.17 trillion.  Residential levels for February fell 0.2% from the previous month to $717.9 billion and non-residential totals decreased 1.0% from January to $447.8 billion.  See U.S. Census Bureau
