U.S. Architectural Billings in August

The August Architecture Billings Index (ABI) increased 1 point from July to 55.6 according to The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Economics & Market Research Group. A score below 50 indicates a decline in billings. Design contracts fell 1.4 points from July to 56.6.

August billings were in positive territory across all geographic regions but only the West recorded an increase in billings. Firms of all specializations were above 50.  See AIA
