The July Architecture Billings Index (ABI) decreased 2.5 points from June to 54.6 according to The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Economics & Market Research Group. A score below 50 indicates a decline in billings. Design contracts fell 0.9 points from June to 58.0.
July billings were in positive territory across all geographic regions but only the Northeast saw an actual increase in billings. Firms of all specializations were above 50, with Commercial/Industrial leading at 58.4 points. See AIA
