Seasonally adjusted shipments for all U.S. manufacturing industries in September rose 0.2% from August to $550 billion. Wood product shipments were up 0.3% in September to $12.8 billion compared to the prior month. Shipments of furniture and related products fell 0.1% from August to $6.2 billion.
September new orders for all U.S. manufacturing increased 0.3% from August to $551 billion. Furniture and related product orders in September grew 0.8% from the previous month to $6.1 billion. See U.S. Census Bureau
