U.S. kitchen and bath cabinet sales in September were $237.0 million, 11.4% lower than the comparable month in 2022 and down 0.1% from August, according to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association’s (KCMA) monthly “Trend of Business” member survey. Year-to-date sales rose slightly from the first nine months of 2022 to $2.148 billion.
The number of cabinets sold totaled 630,860, decreasing 21.0% compared to September 2022 and 1.5% from August. Cabinet quantities through September declined 15.1% from last year to 5.7 million.
Semi-custom sales fell 10.3% from September 2022 to $135.6 million. Custom cabinet sales dipped 0.6% to $65.2 million and stock sales shrunk 28.7% to $36.2 million from September 2022. See KCMA 2022
