September Canadian Construction Investment Dips

Canadian building construction investment in September was down 0.6% from August to $20.9 billion (CAD). Residential construction spending declined 1.3% to $15.4 billion from August, while non-residential totals were 1.6% higher in September at $5.4 billion. Seasonally adjusted single-family construction spending decreased 1.3% from August to $8.5 billion, and multi-unit levels fell 1.4% to $7.0 billion in September. See Statistics Canada
