January U.S. Construction Spending Increases
U.S. construction spending in January was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.68 trillion, up 1.3% from December 2021 and an 8.2% increase over the year prior. U.S. Consumer Confidence Falls Again in February
U.S. consumer confidence in February registered at 110.5, dipping 0.6 points from a revised January score, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index. The index measuring current business and labor market conditions, rose 0.6 points from January to 145.1. Furniture Orders Down in December
U.S. residential furniture factory orders in December 2021 were down 6% from the comparable month in 2020 but were up 19% from the same month in 2019. RV Shipments Set January Record
The RV Industry Association’s monthly survey of U.S. manufacturers reported that January shipments reached another record at 53,290 units, jumping 16% over the comparable month in 2021. Shipments broke the previous January high set last year. See RV Industry Association

Unilin Names New CEO
Unilin announced the appointment of An Nuyttens as CEO. She will join the company in mid-October, succeeding Paul De Cock, who will become CEO of Mohawk Industries on September 30. U.S. New Home Sales Down in July
U.S. sales of new single-family homes in July were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 607,000, falling 10.5% from June and 6.3% below the comparable month in 2025.
