Kitchen and Bath Sales Strong in December 2021

U.S. kitchen and bath cabinet sales in December 2021 were 15.2% higher than the comparable month in 2020 and rose 1.1% from November, according to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association’s (KCMA) monthly Trend of Business member survey. 2021 U.S. RV Shipments Shatter Previous Record

Hotel Construction Pipeline Down in Q4 2021

The latest U.S. Hotel Construction Pipeline Trend Report by Lodging Econometrics reported that fourth quarter 2021 hotel projects totaled 4,814, down 8% compared to the same period in 2020. Total hotel rooms fell 10% from Q4 2020 to 581,953.  The declines were related to lingering COVID-19 pandemic project delays, increased inflation and supply chain shortages.

November 2021 Canadian Furniture and Building Material Sales Improve

Canadian retail furniture store sales in November 2021 rose 0.1% from October to $1.2 billion (CAD) and were 2.9% higher than the same month in 2020.  Sales of building material dealers increased 3% from October to $4.1 billion but were 0.6% lower than the previous year. OSHA Withdraws COVID Vaccination Emergency Standard
