Tafisa Announces Investment to Build Sixth TFL Line

Industry Mourns Passing of Norm Hoeppner

Norm Hoeppner, retired Sauder Woodworking executive, passed away on July 12.  Norm retired in 2020 after a 15-year career with Sauder, much of which time was spent as the VP of Procurement.  He was an active CPA member, served as an Associate Member on the Board of Directors and was well respected throughout the industry.

The seasonally adjusted S&P Global U.S. Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) in June was 52.7, down 4.3 points from May. Manufacturers cited supply chain challenges, a decrease in new orders and increased costs as the reasons for the decline. Q2 U.S. Remodeling Confidence Falls

U.S. remodeling confidence in the second quarter of 2022 decreased nine points from the previous three months to 77 and dropped 10 points from same period in 2021, according to the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB)/Royal Building Products Remodeling Market Index (RMI). This marks the greatest year-over-year decline since the first quarter of 2020.
