U.S. Construction Spending Inches Upward in November
U.S. construction spending in November 2021 was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.63 trillion, increasing 0.4% from October and 9.3% higher than the year prior. Private construction spending was up 0.6% from October to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.27 trillion. Residential levels for November rose 0.9% from the previous month
November U.S. Manufacturing Shipments Grow
Seasonally adjusted shipments for all U.S. manufacturing industries in November 2021 rose 0.7% from October to $526.97 billion. Wood product shipments were up 1.7% in November to $11.66 billion compared to the prior month. Shipments of furniture and related products fell 1.9% from October to $5.99 billion. New orders for all U.S. manufacturing increased 1.6%
