August Canadian Manufacturing Down
Seasonally adjusted Canadian wood product sales in August were $3.7 billion (CAD), down 4.3% from July but 5.2% higher than the comparable month in 2021. September U.S. Hotel Construction Falls
U.S. hotel construction at the end of September was down 8.9% to 156,861 rooms compared to the same month in 2021, with New York, Nashville and Phoenix leading the current supply. The September Architecture Billings Index (ABI) dropped 1.6 points to 51.7, according to The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Economics & Market Research Group. September Canadian Housing Starts Moving-Average Up
The monthly standalone seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of Canadian housing starts in September was 299,589 units, 10.8% higher than in August.
