Canadian Wood Product Sales Improve in August
Seasonally adjusted Canadian wood product sales in August were $3.0 billion (CAD), up 0.7% from July but 17.4% lower than last year’s comparable month. Construction Investment Strengthens in Canada
Canadian building construction investment in August grew 1.1% from July to $17.9 billion (CAD). Residential construction spending increased 1.6% to $11.9 billion in August. Seasonally adjusted single-family construction spending was 2.4% higher than July at $5.9 billion. Multi-unit levels rose 0.9% to $6.0 billion in August. USDA Grant Opportunity Supports Use of Wood
This week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Services made nearly $50 million in grant funding available. August U.S. Kitchen and Bath Cabinet Sales Rise Month-over-Month
U.S. kitchen and bath cabinet sales in August were $237.3 million, 7.4% lower than the comparable month in 2022 but up 12.5% from July, according to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association’s (KCMA) monthly “Trend of Business” member survey.
