U.S. Interior Design Billings Rise in December

Interior design billings from the American Society of Interior Design (ASID) member-owned firms rose 0.3 points in December 2021, bringing the Interior Design Billings Index (IDBI) score to 52.8. Any score over 50 indicates growth. All geographic regions except for the West were above 50, with the South again leading the three-month average at 58.1.

The monthly standalone seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of Canadian housing starts in December 2021 was 236,106 units, down 22 % from November.
