U.S. remodeling confidence in the fourth quarter 2021 decreased four points from the previous three months to 83, but was four points higher than 2020, according to the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB)/Royal Building Products Remodeling Market Index (RMI). The current market conditions indicator rose four points to 89 and the future indicators index gained five points to 77 over the fourth quarter in 2020.
The Remodeling Market Index (RMI) is based on a quarterly survey of NAHB remodeler members providing insight on current market conditions and future indicators for the remodeling market.
