Remodelers Face Materials Shortages

Research from the Q3 NAHB Remodeling Market Index (RMI) found significant shortages of building materials and price changes over the last six months. Of the respondents, shortages were reported by 65% for doors and windows, 45% for millwork and 41% for cabinets. One-quarter of all respondents said material costs have increased by 20% or more.
