Canadian building permits in February increased 2.1% from January to a record $10.15 billion (CAD) and were up 20.5% from the year-ago period.  Residential authorizations fell 2.9% from January to $6.84 billion but were 25.0% higher than February 2020.  Single-family totals decreased to $3.5 billion, down 1.0% from January but increasing 37.6% from the prior year.  Multi-family levels were down 4.9% from January at $3.35 billion but rose 14% from February 2020.  See Statistics Canada
