Fourth quarter 2022 U.S. wood product manufacturing sales decreased 15.7% from Q3 to $30.1 billion and fell 6.2% from the same period in 2021. After-tax profits dropped 39.6% to $2.4 billion from the prior three months and were 35.9% lower than Q4 2021.
Furniture sales were down 0.7% from Q3 to $20.2 billion but rose 3.2% from Q4 2021. After-tax profits in Q4 tumbled 58.9% from the third quarter to $521 million and plummeted 52.7% from the same quarter in 2021. See U.S. Census Bureau
